Fall is in the air!!!!
I love fall...my favorite season of all!!!
Things that come to my mind are: crisp, cool air, pumpkin pies, colorful leaves blowing in the cool breeze, overcast skies, curling up on the couch...as you stare into the fire and sip hot cocoa, clear blue skies (since we live in loma linda we don't see theses all the time) and going to Oak Glenn for hiking and apple pie.

We celebrated Jonathan's birthday this last saturday. It was so nice to get together with the Lykos and Macknets. The menu consisted of grilled veggies. We did the grill thing and as our new favorite novelty meal I made raclette...so yum!!! To keep the fall theme we had a carrot birthday cake with coffee....so delicious!!

I'm in Boston this week. I love Boston!!! I love the culture, the way you can be walking down the street and run into a historical site, the food, the old churches with steeples soaring to the sky, etc. etc.
Today I was in class all day long. When I left the dental building the only thing I wanted to do was go for a walk. The weather was perfect. The sky was so blue. The wind felt cool and crisp. I walked on Burburry street for a while. Before I knew it, I was on the other side of town by the Prudential Center. I found this really cute italian restauran called bodega napolitana or something like that. I had spinach nioquis with their house sauce. Delicious!!!! I ate outside. There were sparkling lights all around. It was beautiful!!! The only thing missing was Jonathan. :( It's always a so much more fun when he's around!!!!!
I'm getting so much accomplished while here. My protocol is almost done. IRB applications are also almost completed. Three more days to get all things done!!!!

This week I did some really cool things.  Last Thursday we went to the Pageant of the Masters.  It was incredible to see gigantic live works of art.  Dr. Tsai and his wife Elaine were so king to let us borrow binoculars and seat cushions for this occasion.  It would not have been as fun without waiting for people to blink.  

On Friday we went to a Braves/Dodgers baseball game with Mark and Danielle.  So much fun!!  Jonathan and Danielle even did the Tomohawk chant...(I was a little embarrassed,  nobody got it at first, eventually some other atlanta "braves" (pardon the pun :) joined in!!!  The braves won after going to 12 innings!!  Did I mention that thanks to M & D we had awesome seats????

Yesterday we went to a town hall meeting.  Very interesting!!!  I learned so much stuff I didn't know.  The conclusions I came away with are 1.  something needs to be done about health care.  2.  a national health care is actually unconstitutional...yes...this is true...the government is not supposed to be involved in public businesses.  3.  there are ways to improve the health care (like lowering the prices of meds, but because of the big role of the big pharm companies this will probably never happen) but the government is not even considering such options.  

Another first...I cut Jonathan's hair.  I had a laughing attach!!!!  Poor Jonathan was a little worried, but he looks great!!!

The beginning of a blog

I have to admit that I'm a very private person. Writing a blog is completely strange to me. But I thought I would give it a try. 

This is one of my favorite pics.  It was taken right before our wedding, 8 years ago.
